11th Annual ‘Make It Your Business’ Employee Health and Wellness Conference May 24th in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – [April 11, 2017] – Oklahoma employers, businesses and companies will gather at OU-Tulsa, 4502 East 41 Street, on May 24th  for the 11th annual Make It Your Business Employee Health and Wellness Conference.

The conference will help local employers and organizations understand what it takes to create and implement an effective wellness program, how to create a culture of health, and how to inspire and engage their workforce toward behavior change. 

“America’s Personal Health Improvement Expert” David Meinz will deliver the keynote address. Meinz is a frequent guest on radio and television, and speaks internationally to audiences about living life to the fullest with maximum energy and health. As registered dietitian nutritionist and a fellow in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Meinz speaks to business and organizations encouraging their employees to maximize their health by eating better, dealing with stress, losing weight through better nutrition, and other healthy habits.

The conference will include a special recognition luncheon to announce the 2017 Health Executive challenge winner.

Employers of any size are encouraged to register online for the conference at www.tulsa-health.org/miyb or in person at the event.  Human resource personnel, employee relations committees, wellness and prevention coordinators, productivity managers, and human resource consultants will greatly benefit from attending. Registration includes light refreshments and catered lunch.

The conference is hosted by the Tulsa Health Department and the TSET Healthy Living Program serving Tulsa County. Sponsors include the Tobacco Free Coalition for Tulsa County, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma, and the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET).
