Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Testing and Treatment

Sexually transmitted diseases, or STDs, are diseases that are spread by having sex with someone who has an STD. They affect both men and women and require medical treatment.

The THD’s Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic provides diagnostic testing for STDs, treatment for STDs, and education and counseling of sexual behavior and disease processes. Disease intervention specialists and a Spanish-speaking interpreter are available.

Diseases diagnostically tested for include:

  • Gonorrhea
  • Chlamydia
  • Syphilis
  • HIV
  • Bacterial Vaginosis
  • Trichomoniasis

STD testing costs $20 and is available at Expo Square Health Center (Map) at 4616 E. 15th St. Walk-ins are welcome Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., however, depending upon patient load and staffing levels, the clinic may close early during the morning clinic or the afternoon clinic. It is recommended to call ahead to ensure availability. Appointments are required for Mondays and Fridays. Please call 918-595-4104.
