Temporary Food Events

 

Obtaining a License for Operation

 

All food service establishments in Tulsa County, including temporary and seasonal food establishments, require a license.

Temporary food establishments may be licensed to operate only in conjunction with a transitory special event. A temporary food establishment license is good through the end of the event for which it was issued, unless the license is cancelled or revoked. The Oklahoma State Department of Health license fee is $30.00 plus $15.00 for each day in excess of three days. An additional city license fee may also be required. The event cannot last longer than 17 days.
 

Temporary food establishments are required to meet certain regulations regarding their construction, water system, waste disposal, equipment, personnel and food safety.

Seasonal Food Establishments

Seasonal food establishments may obtain a license that will be valid for 180 days per year, unless canceled or revoked prior to its expiration. Seasonal food establishments can only serve non-potentially hazardous foods and must comply with the requirements of a temporary food establishment.
