Tools and Information for Family Planning

 

As part of our family planning services, the THD offers several types of contraceptives for men and women (13 and older) on a sliding-scale fee. Some require a medical prescription. You will be informed of and educated about your options, including abstinence and natural family planning/fertility awareness. Family planning counseling is confidential and provided in English and Spanish.

  • Male latex condom
  • Vaginal spermicides

Contraceptives available through THD requiring a prescription

  • Diaphragm
  • Birth Control Pills
  • Depo-ProveraTM Injection
  • IUD (Intrauterine Device)
  • Birth Control Patch
  • NuvaRing
  • Tubal ligation (female sterilization)
  • Vasectomy (male sterilization)
