2008 - World Health Day Special Event
The 2008 theme for the THDARC Special Event is "Protecting Health from Climate Change." This theme, adopted from the World Health Organization's "World Health Day 2008" campaign, stresses global collaboration in recognizing that climate change is posing ever growing threats to global health security.
Operating privileges this year will be extended to several local partners including staff from the University of Oklahoma Department of Emergency Medicine, Skywarn members and ARRL officials and will integrate multiple modes including voice, PSK-31 and Slow Scan TV.
