2007 - World Health Day Special Event
The 2007 theme for the THDARC special event is "Invest in health -- build a safer future." This theme, adopted from the World Health Organization's "World Health Day 2007" campaign, stresses the growing interdependence between health and security. Globalization, rapid travel, and international trade make it that much easier for new and existing diseases to leap over national borders and threaten our collective security.
Operating privileges this year are by special invitation and will integrate multi-modes including PSK-31, RTTY, and Slow Scan TV. For contacts via any of these modes, please make specific requests through the published SSB frequencies.
