The Maternal Child Health Initiative raises public awareness and works with communities to identify maternal and child health issues, needs, and barriers. These issues and needs are addressed by developing and implementing interventions and prevention strategies identified through the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data collected from internal and external resources that target MCH populations. Outreach services are used to identify health problems for high-risk clients, provide public health information, and referral of services.
